Privacy

We don’t ask who you are, and we don’t sell or share anything about you.

The short version

• No accounts, no sign-ups, no advertising and no tracking cookies.
• We count visits in a privacy-friendly way that does not identify you.
• Some content, such as fonts, photos and videos, loads from other companies' servers. Like any website, those servers see your device's internet address when they send it.

Visitor counts

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not follow you to other websites. Cloudflare also keeps standard server logs to run and protect the site. Content from other sites

• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. See Google's privacy policy.
• Story photos are loaded directly from the publishers that ran each story.
• Video thumbnails are loaded from YouTube's image servers.
• Videos play in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing plays or loads from the video player until you press play. Once a video is playing, YouTube's own policy applies.

What is stored on your device

If you switch the autumn leaves off or on, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. Nothing else is stored, and none of it is sent to us.

Headlines take you to the publisher's own website, which has its own privacy practices. We encourage you to read them.

Children

The site does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
